Welcome to Hamilton's forum for progressive thought... Mayday Magazine has been publishing in print for over three years, and will soon be launching Mayday Online - a web site with expanded content, writer's blogs and links to important sources of community, national and global news. Each month 5,000 copies of the 16 page, broadsheet publication are distributed throughout the greater Hamilton area, and our readership represents a wide demographic range. Mayday is a non-profit publication with a mandate to provide critical news and analysis about the issues that concern us most. Peace, social justice, alternative economics, ecological sustainability and creative culture- these topics and more are covered in each issue of Mayday. Our contributors include quality local writers and some of the biggest names in progressive research and journalism. We print the stories that no other publication in Hamilton will - hard-hitting, critical, and honest. Mayday isn't just about analyzing and contextualizing the problems facing our world, it also focuses on the positive changes being created by individual activists, communities and progressive organizations. In monthly features we introduce you to inspiring persons and projects, while keeping you abreast of activist news and events. Mayday is free, 100% independent and committed to promoting critical and democratic discourse about the world we live in, and the better world we are working towards. Our goal is to expand the publication's reach, and to do this we could use your help!
